Both are now deceased since 1960 (Laurits M Rasmussen) and 1956 (Niels Nielsen). I did find on your Danish Brotherhood Death Index that possibly my great uncle came from Kustrup, Fyn, Denmark. I am working on my ancestry and was wondering if your orgainization would have any information on them and also what was their involvement in your organization. If this information cannot be obtained directly through you as it may be too old, would you please direct me to a possible source. Thank you for your help in this matter. I truly appreciate whatever information you can give me.

I am writing an article about Seattle’s Danish Brotherhood in America Lodge 29 and came across your wonderful and insightful article. I would like to use some of the information – crediting you of course – for my article, which will appear in a future issue of Den Danske Pioneer.

The Pioneer, founded in 1872, is the oldest continuing Danish community newspaper in North America. In January, 2010, I became the paper’s Pacific Northwest Region Local Editor.

Also, I want to write a feature about the Portland Danes and their organizations. Any information that you may have about them would be greatly appreciated ( in addition to catching any errors I may have or write…).
